Welcome to the financial freedom press issue 7 volume 16.

Happy love month, happy new year, happy Lunar New Year, happy Black History Month!!

I want to first thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter.  I am always amazed at how many of our subscribers open this newsletter and click on the resources we offer inside – it’s higher than the average for our field of work and it makes us feel you appreciate the time we take to provide you with valuable information. We are back and ready to get started with tax season 2024! We are here to support you, to help reduce your stress and do the best to reduce your tax obligation. This is also the month to celebrate Black History, the Lunar New Year and Love so we hope you will find time to get out and enjoy the opportunities to celebrate our rich cultures. We know you are busy, so we’ll keep this brief:

• MTAA Update: Please keep in mind that this is our busiest season, and it may take longer for us to return your calls and emails but know that we have not forgotten you. If you are a new client, you can always reach us through our contact page to request a quote for tax services, or visit our client portal and upload a copy of your most recent tax return for an accurate estimate. If you are seeking monthly bookkeeping services or financial wellness coaching, feel free to request a proposal, through our online inclusion portal. If you are a returning client,  simply  just drop us a line via email or in your portal and say “ I’m ready to get started”.

• Valuable Resource: If you’re considering updating your will or setting up a trust for your dependents, I highly recommend attending one of the FREE seminars offered by Attorney Sommer Miller. I was impressed with how much information she shared and questions she answered during the session, and if you attend, you will get a discount on your first consultation. I do not get anything for this referral, I just like to provide tools for financial freedom. You don’t have to have high wealth to benefit from setting up a trust.
• Grant opportunity: If your business in a historically disadvantaged area, you may be eligible for a $10,000 grant from the PA CDFI Network’s HDBA Program, funded by the American Rescue Plan Act. See if you qualify HERE.

Finally, I’m excited to introduce our new online community, The Restoration Station!

Track 1 | Track 2 | Track 3

I know how difficult it is, especially when you are first starting or growing your business or non profit, to get really sound accounting advice or business consulting without breaking your budget. If you are a householder, you may be thinking about how to reach the goals that you have for yourself and/or your family. The Restoration Station will have three “tracks” – one for Individuals, one for Business Owners and one for Non Profit organizations. No matter what track you’re on, you’ll gain valuable insight into your money management.

Membership is FREE for the first three months and only $22 per month afterwards, so come on into the station and take your first step on the road to financial freedom!

Aside from gaining access to the wealth of videos, checklists, templates, and valuable information we will provide, I firmly believe that it is absolutely vital for business owners, or even those contemplating opening a business, to have a dedicated space where they can connect with others in their community, ask questions, and receive mutual support.

I love this work and because I LOVE you, I built this space. As I learned from the great writer and activist Belle Hooks, community is the most valuable tool to help us access financial freedom.
