financial freedom press Volume 6, Issue 13: Dreams, healing and transformation

That month went by quickly! You may or may not have noticed, but we closed our office doors and our calendar from August 15th to September 15th to prioritize rest and give ourselves a break from the busyness of life. I highly recommend it to everyone! Yes, I thought at first that it would be impossible to do with all of the deadlines and the emergencies and expectations that come with running a business but if we can’t take the time to dream and heal and transform ourselves, how can we help our clients do the same?

First I want to thank you all for respecting this new vision; it wasn’t just a once in a blue moon thing, we plan to take many breaks thorough the year as needed. I believe it’s a necessary to heal from the past few years, to learn new ways of working, living and being and for all of us to live long, healthy lives.

I spent the first week healing from a “not enough rest and self-care” respiratory infection; the second week I spent detoxing from social media sites and actually deleted the Facebook app from my phone; the third week I finished one book and started another one and in-between laid in my caftan on the couch binge watching a number of documentaries and shows that I never had the time to catch up on and the fourth week I met a few friends for dinner and lunch I hadn’t seen in ages, drove to the beach alone with my snacks and water and soaked up the sun and peace and went shopping with my eleventh grader to get her ready for school. I can’t say it went by fast because I really took the time to savor each day I arose later than usual and each nap I gave myself permission to take when I was tired and each laugh or conversation with my children, friends and family. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, paid attention to my dreams and made a choice not to go back to the way things were.

With that being said, MT Austin and Associates will be back open on Monday, September 18th and with a brand new website! I personally love the refreshing look and feel of it. I hope you take a minute to check it out and please let us know what you think or if there’s anything else you would want to see. I wanted a site that was easier to access, so you can also reach it using the shortened domain www.mtaassoc.com , which is similar to our Instagram page and Twitter/X/Threads handles. I wanted it to be more modern and less cumbersome for potential clients to be able to see the services we offer, request a free consultation or a quote for services. We now have a form you can fill out that will streamline the quote process, or you can use the contact form that will come directly to our email. There is a new client portal where new and returning clients are able to upload their confidential information to our secure Verifyle portal and we’ve added frequently asked questions that help you understand what we do, how we work and how to work with us.

We’ll soon be reopening the Restoration Station, our financial literacy hub. We will have one “track” for individuals and another “track” for business owners so everyone will have a place to access accurate information, updates and workshops to help them feel empowered and have access to live instruction and other offerings. This will be membership based and affordable.

Stay in touch and follow us on all platforms, and again don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything. I’m rested, focused and ready to help you achieve the life you desire!

I’m wishing my Jewish friends and family a Happy New Year, hoping we all celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and as this is also Suicide Prevention Month, please share the new 988 line and check in on all of those loved ones whom you haven’t seen or heard from in a while – they may need a listening ear or the number to your favorite therapist. And if that’s you, please ask for help.

#BeThe1ToASK

Thanks for reading til the end!

Warmly,

Mary Tonita Austin
